Olugbenga Jide Olaniran, PMP, is a Project
Management Professional (PMP)® certification
holder and postgraduate scholar in the
Department of Construction Management at
Curtin University, Bentley Campus in Australia.
His research focuses on the project management
and construction engineering of oil and gas
megaprojects. Jide was formerly a mechanical
engineer at Lafarge WAPCO in Nigeria, where he
participated actively in some heavy engineering
projects. Jide holds a BSc degree with honors in
Mechanical Engineering and MSc with distinction
in Project Management. Jide’s research work has
been featured in ASCE Journal of Construction
Engineering and Management, Project
